Kohima, March 12 (EMN): Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College of Arts and Technology at Nerhe-Phezha under Kohima district organised a career guidance seminar on ‘Civil services and entrepreneurship’ on March 9.
An update from the college informed that the resource persons were Vitoka Yepthomi, EAC Chiephobozou; Joshuoa Tikhir, EAC (Probation); and Pelevotuo Solo, entrepreneur.
Yepthomi, in his address, pointed out that nothing could substitute hard work and advised the students to work hard to achieve success in life.
Tikhir stated that entrepreneurs play an important role in market economies because they could act as the wheels of the economic growth of the country by creating new products and services, which could generate new employment.
He also shared his experiences on how to prepare for competitive exams and dwell on the importance of outside knowledge.
Meanwhile, Solo, who is a well-known Naga upcoming entrepreneur, spoke on entrepreneurship and mentioned that entrepreneurs could accelerate economic growth. He also enlightened the students by stating that they are living at the most opportune time and added that every profession, if given the heart and soul, is a noble job.
The college principal, Dr. Joseph Longkumer, thanked the resource persons for sparing their time and imparting the students with valuable knowledge.
