Nagaland BJP President named co-chairman of PDA Coordination Committee
DIMAPUR — President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland unit, Benjamin Yepthomi, has been appointed as Co-chairman of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) Coordination Committee, a cabinet-rank post.
The state government has accorded the cabinet minister rank to Yepthomi following his appointment as BJP State president earlier in September.
A long-standing member of the BJP, Yepthomi held various key roles within the party and actively contributed during the party’s election campaigns in Nagaland and several other states, including Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
A notification from the office of the Cabinet Secretary, issued on October 23, stated that the appointment would come into immediate effect.
