DIMAPUR — Under Start-Up Nagaland of the Industries and Commerce department, Nagabots Incubation Centre (NIC) was officially inaugurated on Wednesday by the director of Industries and Commerce and special guest, A Temjen Jamir, in the presence of notable personalities and entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Jamir shared his valuable perspectives on the role of incubators in fostering innovation, job creation, and economic growth in Nagaland.

An update from Nagabots stated that an invocation prayer was said by Ruokuovinuo Noudi, director of ABTK, and the welcome address was delivered by Kikrukhrielie Khezhie, director of Nagabots, wherein he introduced the mentors and incubatees.

Keneirienuo K Thenuo, team leader of Start-up Nagaland, have an overview of the start-up ecosystem in Nagaland and shed light on the incredible potential and vibrant ecosystem that exists within the region. It stated that her insights provided a comprehensive understanding of the start-up activities and initiatives driving the entrepreneurial spirit in Nagaland.

Also speaking on the occasion, John Pienyü, founder of Arintin Ventures, shared his vision and expectations from an incubator. He has emphasised the importance of providing comprehensive support and resources to startups in their early stages.

Report stated that after the ribbon cutting, the special guest was given an exclusive tour of the lab housed within the incubation centre. The lab showcased cutting-edge technologies including a 3D printer and a multi-purpose robotics arm, exemplifying the centre’s commitment to providing start-ups with the necessary resources and infrastructure for their development.

Additionally, various models of innovative projects were on display, offering a glimpse into the immense potential and creativity thriving within the Nagaland start-up ecosystem.

The event witnessed the presence of 40 esteemed attendees including entrepreneurs, mentors, student leaders, government officials, incubatees, young graduates and distinguished guests.
