Naga solution without flag, constitution will be repetition of past agreements — UT NSCN (IM)
Dimapur, Sep. 28 (EMN): While reiterating its unflinching support to the stand of the NSCN that Indo-Naga political solution should be based on the August 3, 2015 framework agreement, the Union Territory (UT), NSCN (IM) said Naga political solution without flag and constitution (Yehzabo) will be a repetition of past agreements which cannot bring permanent peace.
Through a press release issued on Monday, the CAO stated that UT reiterated its strong support to the ongoing peace process under the collective leadership of President Q Tuccu, Vice President Tongmath Wangnao and Ato Kilonser Th Muivah, who is also the NSCN’s chief negotiator.
“We stand that recognising the identity and unique history of the Nagas is recognising the Naga’s flag and Yehzabo. Therefore, Gol must exercise its political will to solve the aged old Indo-Naga political conflict based on Framework Agreement,” it stated.
“The Naga national flag and Yehzabo which have been a symbol of Naga national identity even before the inception of Indian Union must form part of the final agreement,” it added.
