Naga Solidarity Walk to be flagged off on July 28
Dimapur, July 24 (EMN): Global Naga Forum and the co-organisers of Naga Solidarity Walk on Sunday informed that the event will be flagged off from Lerie in Kohima at 6 am on July 28, and will converge at Senapati on July 29.
The organisers have directed all walkers to carry their own sleeping bags and toiletries. Mini-trucks to carry sleeping bags, ruck sacks, etc… will be provided, while food, refreshments and lodgings have been arranged. It said that medical teams have also been arranged. Buses for return journey back to Kohima have also been arranged, the team stated in an update.
The travel itinerary for July 28 will include light breakfast and flag off at Lerie junction at 6 am; breakfast at Phesama, lunch at Viswema and night halt at Maram.
On July 29, breakfast and push off from Maram at 6 am, lunch at Karong and convergence at Senapati at 12:30 pm (tentative).
Meanwhile, the organisers have reminded the walkers that it is a peaceful walk and requested not to indulge in any form of violence.
