Naga Council action comm. lists details for Khermahal rally

Dimapur, Oct. 28 (EMN): The Public Action Committee of the Naga Council of Dimapur has informed that the public rally scheduled to be held on Oct. 31 at Khermahal will begin at 10 am. The PAC has again appealed to every citizen of Dimapur to join the rally to show solidarity against the ‘multiple collections’ and ‘save our people,’ from such activities.

Citizens and participants are requested to dress in their respective cultural apparel. A press release from the PAC on Sunday informed that sitting arrangements would be made.

According to the note, each community is to arrange 20 youth volunteers to supervise their delegates, for seats and for traffic regulation. For parking, the people are informed to use the DDSC stadium, NST garage, Neingulie Memorial School campus, and adjoining areas.

The statement mentioned that business establishments would be closed till 12.00 noon. However, educational institutions shall be open.

The decision was stated to have been taken by the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Business Association of Nagas, and the PAC.

‘Any person who wishes to travel for emergency reasons may kindly do so during the early hours to ease traffic flow. Volunteers shall have a briefing at the Naga Council office at 10.00am, on Oct. 30 2018,’ the note stated.
