Dimapur, Feb. 12 (EMN): National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team visited Immanuel College for the 2nd cycle of re-accreditation on February 10 and 11. The team was led by its chairperson Dr. Radhakrishnan PK, former vice chancellor of University of Kerala; member coordinator Dr. Jangkhongam Doungel, professor at University of Mizoram, Aizawl; and Dr. Tehmina Yousuf, principal of Government Degree College, Thindim Kreeri.
A press release from the college stated that the head and convenor of all the departments and committees presented reports on activities undertaken in the last five years. It added that the NAAC peer team also visited and reviewed various facilities available in the institute.
A cultural event was also organised by the students of the college on the theme “Cultural diversity.”
The two-day visit concluded with an exit meeting on February 11 evening, where the NAAC peer team chairperson gave his observation and hoped that the implementation of the recommendation would enable the college to flourish in the coming years.
A meeting with the university official represented by dean of SET: NU, Prof. VK Vidyarthi; state government represented by district higher education officer and principal of Dimapur Government College, Dr. M Libanthung Ngullie; principal of Livingstone Foundation International College, Dr. RK Behera; and IQAC external expert Dr. T Jamedi Longkumer was also held during the visit.
