Music revival celebration held at Mongsenyimti church
A music revival celebration titled ‘Kotakrati’ organised by the Mongsenyimti Village Baptist Arogo (MBA) in Mokokchung district was held on April 24 evening.
MBA music director, Imotemjen Ozukum, informed that the celebration brought together lyricists, composers and artistes to glorify God through music. He added that the event was aimed at reviving the musical talents and spirit of the people of Mongsenyimti.
He informed that this year marked the third edition, wherein Mongsenyimti artistes living in various districts of Nagaland came together to glorify God for his precious gift of music besides showcasing a commitment to fostering musical talent.
He opined that events like ‘Kotakrati’ not only provided a platform for artistes to showcase their talents but also served as a source of inspiration and unity within the community.
“It is encouraging to see such initiatives promoting the rich musical heritage of Nagaland while also emphasising its role in spiritual expression,” Ozukum said.
Advisor of Water Resources Tongpang Ozukum, also emphasised the importance of continuous learning and using talent as a means to glorify God and expressed his support towards such initiatives.
Altogether, 10 groups including MBA choir and Mongsenyimti artistes from different districts presented their original compositions enthralling the gathering with vibrant celebration of music and culture.
