DIMAPUR — The 15th edition of Music Awards of Nagaland (MAN) 2023, organised by Native Trax Society (NTS), is set to be held on November 11 at Green Park in Chümoukedima.

Addressing a press conference on Friday at Barcode Restro, Green Park junction, the president of NTS, Imli Lee informed that entry forms and rules can be downloaded from Nagaland Facebook page at musicanagaland, or from WhatsApp number 7005251186, and submit via email to musicanagaland@gmail.com, or in the whatsapp number or at the Barcode Restro.

He informed that artistes or bands who wish to enter more than one song or category will have to submit separate entry forms for each entry.

The winners will be awarded with cash, certificates and gift vouchers, he said.

Stating that the organisers go door-to-door looking for sponsors as they have no funds, he appealed to the state government to provide fund for the music awards.

The organisers have invited artistes, recording studios and producers or their representatives to submit original compositions recorded within Nagaland and released from September 1, 2022, till date.

Event manager Sentimeren Pongen, updated that there will be 17 categories of awards including pop, alternative/indie rock, metal/heavy rock, rap/hiphop, gospel, EDM, instrumental and folk/fusion. He said awards will also be presented for best sound engineer, best producer and best video director.

The deadline for submission of entries is September 25.

The organisers informed that from October 10 onwards, the videos of the nominated artistes and bands will be made available on the Music Awards of Nagaland Facebook Page, Instagram, WhatsApp and Youtube channel, for viewers.

The team also informed that the judging committee will comprise of music industry professionals, working musicians and eminent personalities. Entries will be judged on the basis of composition, originality, arrangement, performance, sound engineering, direction and production.

NTS since 2009 has been organising MAN to promote the youths, musicians and those working in the local music industry.
