Dimapur, Jan. 6 (EMN): Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, visited Peren district on January 5 and held a meeting with the officials of Peren district in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner.
The meeting was presided over by the deputy commissioner of Peren, Vineet Kumar, stated a DIPR report.
During the meeting, officials from different departments such as Rural Development, PHED, Agriculture, PWD (R&B), Social Welfare, Horticulture, District Industries Centre, Health and Family Welfare, Power, Fisheries, Lead Bank Manager, Land Resources, and Water Resources presented the progress of the various central-sponsored schemes of their respective departments.
It stated that the minister has encouraged all the departments implementing central schemes in the district to make the best use of the same for the benefit of the public. He has also assured all possible assistance from the centre wherever required.
The minister along with the district administration also visited the electrification project at New Market in Jalukie town and Amrit Sarovar site in Punglwa village. He also visited Punglwa ‘B’ village and interacted with the beneficiaries of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
