More rainfall expected in Nagaland; public asked to exercise caution
Dimapur: Nagaland is likely to experience light to heavy rainfall over the following week, along with several other weather conditions, according to the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA).
There may be ‘partly cloudy’ and ‘moderate rain’ from March 30 to April 4 all over the state, NSDMA stated in an update.
However, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty wind are “very likely” to occur in certain pockets in the districts of Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Tseminyu, Wokha, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mon and Longleng during this period. The state’s minimum and maximum temperatures will vary between 8°C and 30°C during this time.
Further, NSDMA urged the public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during this period. It also requested all the district disaster management authorities and other line departments to be on alert to save lives and properties during this monsoon period.
