Kohima, July 24 (EMN): The office building of Kiruphema Youth Organisation (KYO) was formally inaugurated by the Commissioner Nagaland, Rovilato Mor, in Peducha on July 23.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Mor stated that KYO office building is located in one of the best and centrally located areas between the commercial hub of Nagaland and state capital. Stating that construction of the building might have been planned years back, he acknowledged the KYO pioneers and the incumbent officials for making the building a reality.
Describing youth as “defenders of communities,” who act as role models in every activity, Mor urged upon the youth to conduct more activities for youngsters in the form of various competitions so that they gain confidence and to hold consultations with the seniors and elders.
The official also advised the youth to implement the ban on single-use plastic smoothly as the Union government has banned identified single-use plastics (SUPs) as mandated by the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2021.
Highlights of the event included technical reports and message presented by KYO president, Kekhrievituo Dahou, exhortation by chairman of Kiruphema General Council, Kevichülie Dahou, and a song by Ketholezo Vielie.
The programme was chaired by KYO advisor, Kezevilie Hojha, while Bible reading was led by advisor Neicasato Visienyü and the ceremony was blessed by all pastors and catechist of Kiruphema village.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by KYO secretary, Keneiselhou Hozoyie.
