IN a complete volte face to the claims of the winning DAN consensus candidate CM Chang that it was the practice of the ‘one man, one vote’ which was the real winner in the recent by poll elections in Noksen, NPPC president SI Jamir said it was ‘money’ that was the game changer.Speaking to Eastern Mirror this evening, Jamir said the Congress party had “fought with the Government in power”. He alleged that the elections in fact was all “a money game, so we could not compete.”
The Congress leader also said the best that the NPCC did was to suggest “what we could.” “However, as long as we (Naga electorate) do not change our mentality, we cannot improve accordingly,” he stated.
He declined to make any more comments for the time being.
