DIMAPUR — The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mon block organised a training and demonstration programme on ‘Natural farming’ and ‘Natural farming and its techniques’ from August 12 to the 14th at Guhching village, Mon.
According to a press release, the resource person, agricultural technology manager (ATM) Khriezelhou, conducted training on natural farming, highlighting the benefits of chemical-free farming, recycling farm biomass, crop rotation, multiple cropping, and the use of on-farm cow products to enhance soil fertility and manage pests, thereby reducing input costs.
ATM Manlen demonstrated the preparation of formulations from cow-based products (jivamrit, beejamrit, and neemastra) and their application in the field.
The district project director, Subenthung, also highlighted the advantages of efficiently working with nature to achieve more with less. A total of 22 participants attended the programme.
