Mokokchung, June 8 (EMN): The Mokokchung district planning and development board (DPDB) has approved the schemes under LADP for the year 2022-2023 amounting to INR 1487.50 lakh, out of which an amount of INR 837.50 lakh has been allotted for LADP (normal) for 10 constituencies, INR 159 lakh for common pool and INR 500 lakh for iconic projects for 10 constituencies. The LADP was recommended for further approval by the state planning board.
The approval to this effect was taken during the monthly DPDB meeting held on June 8 at the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of MLA, Imkong L Imchen.
The house reviewed the standard of BSNL services rendered to the public in the district upon which the chairman regretted that the present status of BSNL management was not upto its mark. In this regard, the house urged the department to upgrade its services.
The house also deliberated and approved the translated document of the Nagaland Village Council Act into Ao dialect and nominated a six member special committee to prepare a commentary.
The house also reviewed and discussed shifting of NST station from its present location to ISBT at Khensa, wherein the house set a deadline till November 30 for shifting to its new location.
The house also discussed the present status of water distribution in the town by PHED. The house regretted the present pathetic situation of water supply in the town and resolved to write and request to take up the matter with the right authority.
The house further approved the upgrade of Government High School in Mokokchung village to a higher secondary school, grant-in- aid for Green Hill School in Yisemyong.
