Mission-2025 initiated to improve education system in Karbi Anglong

Diphu, Aug. 1 (EMN): The Executive Member (EM), Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) education, Richard Tokbi held the second round of discussion with members of various student organisations towards working together as a team in promoting quality education in the twin hill districts of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong.
The EM said, ‘we have come up with Mission-2025, where we have taken a target of three years to bring reformations in the education system in the districts. We have also targeted achieving quality education in this target period.’
Tokbi after taking charge of EM education held its first meeting with leaders of all student organisations on July 22 to discuss improving the education system thereby achieving quality education. The organisations have selected some of their targeted schools and education blocks to give educational awareness and to improve the education system in the targeted areas.
Informing media persons after the meeting Tokbi said that the second round of meeting was fruitful where every stakeholder agreed to work together for the cause of education.
He said each student organisations have taken their targeted educational blocks and schools that will give education awareness and improve the education in the targeted areas.
According to the EM, lack of good foundation at the primary level, lack of proper communication and lack of awareness by parents are some of the major causes of the lack of education in Karbi Anglong.
