DIMAPUR —The Miss Phek Foundation (MPF), under the banner of Vogue Entertainment Nagaland, awarded a scholarship to one student from Phek district for the 2024 academic session on Monday.

Initiated in 2021, the scholarship aims to empower the recipients with access to quality education.

According to a press release, the ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Phek John Tsulise Sangtam, as well as other district administration officials, members of the Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (PTCSU), and the vice principal of Christian Mission Higher Secondary School, Phek.

Under this initiative, MPF aims to equip underprivileged girls in the district with the tools for a brighter future through education. Through it, the foundation envisions unlocking the potential of the young girls and nurturing them to become future leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravolu Chuzho, Deputy Chairman of MPF, shed light on the foundation’s objectives, emphasising its commitment to uplift the community through education. Aveyi Khesoh, former president of PTCSU, underscored the impactful activities spearheaded by MPF, highlighting its dedication to making a tangible difference.

The DC expressed heartfelt appreciation towards MPF for its initiative, acknowledging its role in fostering positive change within the community. Furthermore, he encouraged the recipient to seize this opportunity and strive for excellence.
