Mini charity concert held in Dimapur in support of the visually impaired children
DIMAPUR — To support the educational needs of the visually impaired children, 90.8 Hills FM in collaboration Prodigal’s home and Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) open house 2.0 Dimapur, organised a mini concert at Don Bosco Institute of Development and Leadership in Dimapur on Saturday.
Vitono Gugu Haralu, a social worker and RJ at 90.8 Hills FM, briefed that the charity event is an annual programme of the radio programme, where they raise funds to help the children in need.
She said that this is the second edition of the charity event. The first edition was held last year to support the medical expenses for a heart surgery of a child.
She said that all proceeds of the concert including donations would be used to support the educational needs of the visually impaired children.
Haralu said that the charity event will continue as part of their annual calendar. She further expressed that various individuals and group have come forward to contribute while artistes and performers contribute without any transactions involved.
Sashila Ozukum, administrator of Hope Academy School attended the concert as guest of honour. Ashe H Kiba, General Secretary of Nagaland State Disability Forum (NSDF) and Programme Coordinator, spoke on behalf of the PWDs.
The participants in the concert were: Hope Academy choir, Moatila Longchar, Kevi Kevichusa, Phulumli D and friends, Rokoseno Zhasa, Lhuzilu and Zuve, Ruangriu Panmei and Abigail, Kakupu Achumi, Alika Sumi, Trionix Dance studio, Atuna Shikhu, Atsunglir Jamir and friends, Lanukaba Lemtur, Lino K Awomi and special appearance by Sunep Lemtur.
