MH10 Kohima, Peren DVA lift 1st Nagaland State Open Volleyball Championship

Kohima, Nov 17 (EMN):  MH10 Kohima (Senior) and Peren District Volleyball Association (PDVA) on Thursday lifted the 1st Nagaland State Open Volleyball Championship 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS), Kohima for men and women’s categories respectively.

The championship was organised by Nagaland Volleyball Association (NVA) in collaboration with Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland.

The champion for men’s category- MH10 Kohima (Senior) was awarded with a cash prize of INR 70,000 along with trophy and certificate.

While runner-up Changtongya Volleyball Association walked home with INR 40,000; Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) and MH10 Kohima (Junior) semi finalist were awarded INR 15,000 each.

Meanwhile, in the women’s category, Peren District Volleyball Association on emerging as champion received a cash prize of INR 70,000 along with trophy and certificate.

While runner-up Mystic walked home with a sum of INR 40,000; Elite Sisters Lazami and Phusachodu United were awarded with INR 15,000 each.

Earlier, Anthony Ngully, Additional Secretary, Government of Nagaland attended the closing ceremony and later gave away prizes to the winners.
