Dimapur, Feb. 11 (EMN): The annual literary-cum-cultural day of MGM College, Dimapur was held under strict Covid protocols on Feb. 8
An update from the institution informed that Rev. Fr. Dr. P S Varghese, principal MGM College inaugurated the programme and spoke on the importance of extracurricular activities which, he considers, as an essential prerequisite for the all-round development of the students.
Elaborating on the thought of Ed Markey, who said, “Education is not only a ladder of opportunity, but it is also an investment in our future”, he said that every youth should take care of the society around them, for which education will serve as the opportunity and future investment for the welfare of humanity.
The highlights of the programme included singing competition, debate, followed by other literary and cultural activities. The four cultural groups under the flag Denver, Tokyo, Berlin and Moscow performed their best, it said.
Meanwhile, it added that the result would be declared after the annual sports meet, which is scheduled to be held at Dimapur District Sports Complex from Feb. 21 to the 23rd.
