DIMAPUR — Medemer Fund has organised a fund raising event in the form of futsal tournament named ‘The Henosis Cup’ held at Niathu Sports Complex in Kohima on July 28 and 29.

A DIPR report stated that the tournament was kicked off by Rajesh Soundararajan, secretary to Governor, on July 28. Other guests who were present at the inaugural event included chairman of TaFMA, Theja Meru, and TaFMA project director, Dr. Hovithal Sothu.

It mentioned that Medemer Fund is committed to helping children from less privileged backgrounds, who are forced to abandon their education due to poverty or to work and provide for the family.

While considering that education is a privilege for every child, it stated that Medemer Fund is dedicated to bringing about change and empowering children with skills and knowledge by financially helping their parents/guardians pay for their education, setting up libraries, and providing training on self-reliant skills.

It further stated that Medemer Fund also deals with mental health issues by offering free counseling sessions to those who require help.
