Manipur violence: Fellowship of Naga Baptist Associations appeals for peace

Dimapur: The Fellowship of Naga Baptist Associations (FNBA) has expressed pain over the social unrest in Manipur since the last couple of days and urged all right-thinking citizens to contribute towards peace, help curb the volatile situation, and prevent further aggravation.

“We are deeply concerned about the burning of churches and properties, act of vandalism resulting in injuries and loss of lives, which is a serious threat to the peaceful coexistence in the State,” read the press statement.

“The FNBA, therefore, appeals to the Government of the day to contain the crisis with wisdom and maturity. We also appeal to our federating units in the Northeast to sincerely intercede and pray for the wellbeing of the injured and bereaved families; and also pray for normalcy to return at the earliest,” it added.
