Main priority is to unite Asetkong range — TN Mannen

Longjang: Advisor of Law and Justice and Land Revenue, TN Mannen, has assured to strive for development in order to make 23 Impur Assembly Constituency in Mokokchung district at par with others which has been lagging behind for the past two decades.

Speaking at the thanksgiving programme held at Longjang community hall on Sunday, the advisor reminded that there is strength in unity and added that his main objective was to unite Asetkong range as one and find out ways for its development.

Maintaining that he is not a ‘king’ but ‘representative’ of his people, Mannen said he is prepared to work for his people and expressed hope that there would definitely be changed in the area. He further called upon all to forget the election as it is now over but take it as a blessing and begin afresh keeping in mind the interest and future of the area.

Short speeches were delivered by M Teka Longchar, chairman of Sungratsu village council; Arentemsu, chairman of Mopungchuket village council; C Wati Walling, chairman of Yimchalu village council; Temsuwati Jamir, chairman of Chami village council; J Nungsang Aier, chairman of Longpa village council; Tongpang Aler, chairman of Khanimo village council; Imkongsashi, vice chairman of Kobulang Adhoc town committee; Imrongmeren Ozukum, vice chairman of Yisemyong Adhoc town committee; Wapang, NDPP president of 23 Impur AC; Lipokzulu, NDPP vice president of Mokokchung region; Imolemba, NDPP president of BJP Mokokchung district; and Imtiyanger, NDPP vice president central.

The programme witnessed presentation of two songs by Tiameren Aier. The vote of thanks was delivered by M Temjen Jamir, president of Longjang Senso Mungdang and a special prayer of blessing was offered by Senti Longchar, pastor of Longjang Baptist Church.
