Machineries distributed to palm oil farmers in Tizit

DIMAPUR — The office of the sub-divisional agriculture officer (SDAO), Tizit, held a machinery distribution programme for palm oil farmers under NMEO-OP 2023-24 in Tizit town under Mon district on Thursday.

The SDO  of Tizit, Tumben P Tsanglao, who attended the programme as the special guest, encouraged the farmers to sincerely maintain the fields as per the guidelines so as to increase the fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production.

He also encouraged the farmers to expand their production through department and the company’s (Patanjali) support.

The SDAO of Tizit, Myanthung Patton, in his keynote address, stated that the department is leaving no stone unturned to assist and support the palm oil farmers through various means.

Machineries distributed during the programme included water pump, brush cutters, harvester, power tiller, pruning tools and fungicides.

Representatives from Patanjali company also attended the programme.
