DIMAPUR — The Lotha Hoho has reaffirmed its earlier resolution not to participate in the Nagaland Special Development Zone (NSDZ) programme.

The hoho, in a press release, informed that the earlier resolution for non-participation in the NSDZ initiative was reaffirmed by the Lotha organisations at Bhandari on the November 11.

“Hence the NSDZ matter is already a closed chapter for Wokha district,” it stated.

Informing that the resolution was also conveyed to the state government through the chief secretary earlier on October 9, 2017, the hoho said no Lotha organisation or individual will be allowed to participate in any NSDZ-related meeting of the Nagaland government.

“It has also come to the knowledge of the Lotha Hoho that the Nagaland State government had directed the department of Land Records and Survey to carry out a detailed survey and mapping of the western Wokha district foothill area.

“It is, therefore, directed to all Lotha organisations, including village authorities, not to allow any NSDZ-related survey or other activity within their respective jurisdiction,” the hoho informed.

The hoho also said that any NSDZ-related activity will be prevented by taking appropriate action by the concerned local organisation and village authority.

It further cautioned that anyone attempting to initiate any NSDZ-related activity within Wokha district will be doing so at their own risk, and that the Lotha Hoho or any other unit Lotha organisation will not be responsible for any consequence that may arise in the course of taking preventive action.
