Lotha Football Championship: Friends Club, A1 Tsungiki enter semi
Dimapur, Feb. 5 (EMN): Playing the third quarter-final match, Friends Club Wokha Village (FCWV) humiliated RCR Football Club 11-0 on Wednesday, to enter the semi-finals at the ongoing 10th Lotha Football Championship, organised by Wokha District Football Association (WDFA).
An update from the general secretary of WDFA stated that Sulan scored six goals for FCWV while captain of Friends Club also scored three goals. Nzauhut also contributed two goals. Aremo of RCR was cautioned in the 4th minute of the game for unsporting behavior.
In the fourth quarter-final match, A1 Tsungiki defeated Young Generation by a solitary goal to enter the semi-finals.
Motor Vehicle Officer, Along Longkumer, Wokha attended the quarter-final matches as the match patron. An exhibition charity match between Wokha District Veteran Football Association and the organisers (WDFA) will also be played before the start of the semi finals match.
