Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) candidate from 5 Ghaspani-II A/C, Kitoho S Rotokha, said he needs the support of everyone to bring change and claimed that ‘LJP will play a crucial role in forming the government as there are natural allies of the NDA government in the Centre’.

Addressing an election campaign at local ground,  Medziphema town, on Monday, Rotokha said LJP has 16 strong candidates, and expressed that minimum 10 candidates would be elected in the upcoming assembly election.

Rotokha said he came not to criticise other candidates, but to serve the public.

‘However, there are three candidates contesting from 5 Ghaspani-II A/C, and the people of Ghaspani must understand that one candidate is a bureaucrat who has been elected twice, and the other candidate is a businessman who is a silver spoon-feeding leader,’ he said.

However, Rotokha said he is a social worker and has been in social service for 30 years, and would continue the same, while acknowledging his supporters for sacrificing for him in the last seven to eight months.

Further, he acknowledged his supporters for firmly standing for him and choosing to support the right man for the right job, regardless of the circumstances, adding that appeasement politics is outdated and must give way to reality.

Rotokha stated that this would be his final campaign in Medziphema town, and expressed confidence that the majority of the voters would vote for him. He also stated that he chose Ghaspani-II A/C because it is a mini-Nagaland.

Adding that development work done by him in Ghaspani-II A/C would undoubtedly have an impact on the rest of the state, he said he worked only after thoroughly understanding, learning and analysing the situation.

Rotokha went on to state that politics is not new to his clan, claiming that he will be the 10th  member of his clan to run for the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and will win this election by a large margin.

When asked why he switched parties from the JD (U) to the LJP, Rotokha stated that it was not due to ideological but rather leadership differences.
