Livingstone Foundation International College organises annual college week
Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC), Dimapur, organised its first annual college week from December 6 to the 9th on the theme ‘Exuberance: celebrating talents and culture.’
The college, in an update, stated that the event began with an inaugural session attended by Prof. L Tongpang Longkumer, head of Agronomy department at SASRD, Nagaland University. It stated that the inaugural session was followed by a two-day of games and sports meet with three different teams competing in various events including basketball, volleyball, race, etc.
The third day witnessed literary competitions with Bendang Walling, founder of Hill Theatre Nagaland, as the guest speaker of the introductory session.
The college week culminated with ‘cultural day’ with K Temjen Jamir, editor of Tir Yimyim, as the special guest, who shared about culture and how it is evolving and progressing every day.
Highlights of the cultural day included display of indigenous games, Sumi folk song and a short skit on the ‘Origin of Axone’ by the Drama Club of the college. Yellow House emerged as the overall champions, it stated.
