DIMAPUR — Dry weather is likely to continue till January 30 in most parts of Nagaland and the rest of the northeast states, except Arunachal Pradesh where light rainfall/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places.
According to a bulletin issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Guwahati, from January 31 onwards, light rainfall/thunderstorms are very likely at isolated places in Nagaland, followed by light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms at few places in the state.
Similar weather conditions will prevail in all the other northeastern states, except for Arunachal Pradesh where light snowfall is expected at the higher reaches, the bulletin stated.
The RMC also predicted a 50-75 per cent chance of moderate rainfall/thunderstorm in many places across the states including Nagaland on February 2, and heavy rain at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh.
