Li Ning badminton championship to start from August 22

Dimapur, Aug. 2 (EMN): The Li Ning 44th inter-district and state open badminton championship will be held from August 22 to the 27th at Longleng. 

According to an update, the championship will consists of 14 categories (Under-9 boys and girls singles, U-11 boys and girls singles/doubles, U-13 boys and girls singles/ doubles, U-15 boys and girls singles/doubles, U-17 boys and girls singles/doubles, U-19 boys and girls singles/doubles/mix doubles, senior men and women singles/ doubles/ mix doubles, masters doubles in 35+,40+,45+,50+,55+,60+ and 65+).

The inter-district mix team championship will be for juniors and seniors only. The championship carries total prize money of INR 3, 62, 000.

Last date of entry is August 18 while draw for open categories will be done on August 20 at 4 pm.

Meanwhile, it also informed that the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2022 for badminton event will be conducted at Longleng on August 26 and 27 for senior men’s and women’s- singles, doubles, mix doubles and mix team championship.

Last date of submission of players list is August 6 and draw will held on August 7, it added.
