DIMAPUR — As part of its departmental activity, the Education department of at Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC) organised a ‘We care programme-2’ on March 20 by visiting the ‘Ebenezer Orphanage Home,’ where 19 children from different parts of the state are residing.
“Interacting with the children and understanding their circumstances can cultivate empathy and compassion towards those who are less fortunate. Witnessing their challenges firsthand can foster a greater understanding of the struggles others may face,” stated an update from the college.
The programme began with a short prayer fellowship and interaction with the children, followed by the distribution of provisions on behalf of the college department.
Altogether, 10 students and three faculty members participated in the programme.
The event concluded with a prayer.
It mentioned that the owner, Akum Amri, and his family oversee the orphanage home, providing special provisions such as free education, various training programmes and activities for the children up to the 10th standard since its establishment in 2005.
