Sir/Madam,

It is learnt that Nagaland University’s School of Engineering & Technology College which offers 4 years B.Tech programs which was approved by AICTE in 5 streams such as Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, located at D.C Court Junction Dimapur Nagaland established in the year 2007.Where students from outside state also pursuing their degree which is a pride to the state.

Being the concern citizen of the state I would like to highlight some of the observation that needs to improve for the welfare of the students. With a limited Engineering & Technology College in Nagaland by providing the latest learning methods yet required quality time and managements with sufficient time in both theory and practical session with adequate supervisory and guide is suggested.

The University should not preferred guest lecturer, need to appoint full time teaching faculty so as to give their full support to orient the students, the in-charge of the concern department should properly oversight their departments for a productive result and stricken the students attendance. Proper dissemination should be circulated such as notification for holidays, examination, co-curricular activates, as I observed sine a couple of years many students were loiter around due to lack of information, some are from other states and many are from far flung places due to lack of information dissemination.

Be it engineering or secular they required proper guide and strict observation, some students were deficient the classes and staying at hostel, loitering in the town as well. It is also learnt that warden of the hostel slightest in providing moral and technical support for the students. It seems warden rarely appear especially in the girls hostel near Administrative Block, If any unfortunate things happen? Who will take the RISK? Some students face technical problems such as, damage of fan, electrical gadget, water supply etc. It will be a blessing to our children too, if the warden gives a guardianship as their parents are far away from them.

My humble request to improve the duties of the Security Guard in monitoring the private cars entering the Hostel campus, should not permit outsider to enter the campus specially in girls hostels, boys entering at girls campus for practicing of song, meetings etc should be stricken, need to provide enabling environment including security especially to our daughters & Sons.

We as the concern citizen of Nagaland we extend our support to the university for productive results by providing quality time and management both theory & practical, security, professional relationship to faculties and students etc. most importantly in-charges of the respective departments to regularly oversight the class routing by providing full classesetc.

The statement cited above are part of suggestion for the welfare of the students community and concern for the parents, authority should not take personal rather give collective inputs for better service to our children as well to the college.

Considering the cited statements by college authority for constructive output will be obliged.

Yours faithfully
N.P.S.KYONG
Dimapur
