Dimapur, August 20 (EMN): The Langpangkong Students’ Conference’s Clean Election Campaign Committee (LKM CECC) will begin its second tour to a number of villages under Langpangkong jurisdiction, in Mokokchung district, from August 24 to the 26th, as part of the Clean Election campaign.
The organisation issued a press release on Sunday. “During the forthcoming touring, the LKM CECC will have joint meeting with the village council, church leaders, women and youth organizations, students’ unions, town ward leaders, DBs and GBs to deliberate further on the successful implementation of the resolution adopted on 3rd September 2016 at Chuchuyimlang in order to ensure clean elections in near future.”
The second phase of the tour will cover Yaongyimti (old), Yaongyimti (new), Phangsang, Chakpa, Longkong, Mongsenyimti, Salulemang, Chuchu town, Chuchuyimlang, Unger, Akhoya, Yaongyimsen, Changtongya Yimsen, and Changtongya village, the organisers informed.
During the first phase, which was during July 18-21, the LKM CECC visited Anaki, Anaki Yimsen, Kangtsung, Kangtsung Yimsen. Wamaken, Wamaken Yimsen, Tzudikong, Asangma, Kelingmen, Merangkong, Merangkong town, Merangkong compound, Liro Yim, and Nukshi Yim.
“The LKMCECC reminded all the village authorities and students’ union in respective villages to get themselves organized well so as to ensure good participation of all concerned according to the tour program informed earlier,” the update stated.
