Dimapur, Nov. 12 (EMN): Northern Maram People’s Organization (NMPO) organised a reception programme for T Shyamkumar Singh, MCS, the first SDO of Lairouching block, government of Manipur at Lairouching village on Saturday.
Moderating the programme, Pungdi P Celestine, General Secretary of Maram Union attributed the appointment of first SDO to Chief Minister, N Biren Singh, who had earlier announced the appointment during his outreach programme to Maram Khullen village on Oct. 30, an update informed.
SDO Shyamkumar Kumar, MCS expressed his happiness and assured that he would try his best to full the dream of CM to make the block operative. In this regard, he said that he would speak to higher authority for basic infrastructure requirements, it stated.
It said that Northern Maram Students and Youths Organisation, Northern Maram Women Organisation, various elders and leaders attended the programme, wherein village elders, public leaders, SDO and his staff visited the land area donated by the village for SDO office and staff quarters site, located along NH-2.
