Dimapur, April 22 (EMN): Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma, celebrated its 55th Parting Social 2017 to bid farewell to the outgoing students of Class XII and B.Sc final year on April 21.

Miss India Nagaland 2017, Miss Kaheli Chophy graced the formal session as the guest speaker, while the college vice principal Yanger Longkumer delivered the welcome address.

The guest speaker, who will be representing Nagaland state in the upcoming ‘Femina Miss India 2017,’ stressed on the importance of education for the younger generation. She encouraged the students to be ambassadors towards promoting education. She said outer appearance is not the real beauty but it is more about the inner beauty to make a complete being.

On the occasion, Kohima Science College Students’ Union (KSCSU) felicitated various students for bringing laurels to the College. The ‘Rockstar Award’ was bagged by Talilepden Longkumer sponsored by the Alumni of the Department of Geology. The vote of thanks was delivered by Lopeni Ovung after which was followed by the feast and entertainment session.
