In the keynote address, Rhosietho Nguori, vice president of the Alumni Association of KSCJ, stated that the gathering symbolised the remarkable journey the college had gone through.

“The Alumni Association of KSCJ is a vibrant network of professionals, advocates and friends all united by the sheer goal of fostering a legacy of excellence and with it to remain engaged and proactive in order to mentor the next generation of students,” he said.

The students were advised to branch out and take risks, be courageous and unafraid of treading into unknown territory.

The panelists, each with their own set of experiences in a wide array of fields, stressed on crucial time management, self-trust, self-care and being humble. They all also emphasised the importance of discovering one’s self and finding out their purpose in life.

An alumni of KSCJ (B.Sc, Batch of 2000), Watila Longkumer emphasised the importance of passion for serving the people to become not only a successful entrepreneur but also a valued and functional member of society.

“I started my business with my heart, not with my mind” she stated.

“When you face stressful situations you are leveling up in life, and when the going is smooth you are going downhill,” said Richard Belho summing up the risk-filled nature of the journey that is entrepreneurship.

The panel discussion concluded with an interactive question and answer session.
