Diphu, Dec. 4 (EMN): The funeral service of Pratap Chandra Tokbi, the founding president of Karbi Students’ Association (KSA), who passed away on December 3, will be held on December 5 at his residence.
After the funeral service, the mortal remains of late Tokbi will be taken to KSA offices before being laid to the final resting place at Rongkimi Presbyterian Church burial ground.
Tokbi (87 years) breathed his last in his residence at around 8:15 am on December 3 after a prolonged illness.
Late Tokbi, son of Sarbura Tokbi and Kache Engti Hansekpi, was born on June 3, 1935, at Kuli gaon.
He became the first president of KSA in 1961.
