DIMAPUR — The Catholic Youth Association of Christ King Church, Kohima Village, organised a youth camp at the Tourist Resort, Chedema, from Aug. 23 to the 26th.

The camp, held on the theme ‘Harmony of purpose – finding rhythm in faith, melody in skills, and harmony in purpose,’ brought together 72 enthusiastic youths and featured diverse speakers who enriched the participants with their knowledge and insights, an update stated.

The camp was commenced with an inspiring speech by Thejawelie Gregory, who set the tone for the camp, emphasising the importance of finding harmony in various aspects of life.

Kethoser Kevichùsa led a compelling session on finding rhythm in faith, guiding the youth on how to integrate their spiritual beliefs into their daily lives.

Renthunglo Shittri’s session focused on discovering and aligning one’s life purpose with their actions, encouraging participants to pursue meaningful goals.

Menguzelie Adrian Suohu spoke about the importance of honing one’s skills and talents, highlighting how they contribute to the overall harmony of life.

The camp also included practical courses provided by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) led by Kevilhouthie Victor and the Bharat Scouts and Guides led by Ruokuongulie Albert Solo. These courses covered essential survival skills, equipping the youth with knowledge and techniques to handle emergencies.

Azenuo Concepta and Neisevotuo Ferdinand led an informative session on the sacrament of holy matrimony. They discussed the advantages of marrying within the church community and the significance of a sacramental marriage.

The holy mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Thejalhoulie Peter Solo, providing a spiritual cornerstone for the camp.

“The camp concluded successfully with all 72 participants leaving with a renewed sense of faith, enhanced skills, and a deeper understanding of their purpose. The theme ‘Harmony of Purpose’ resonated throughout the event, leaving a lasting impact on the youth,” the update informed.
