As the polling team for all the assembly constituencies of Kohima district would be dispatched from IG Stadium, Kohima, and proceed to the dispatch and receiving centre at the deputy commissioner’s office on February 26 and 27, Kohima Police has issued traffic advisory to ensure smooth conduct of the entire exercise and in the interest of public convenience.

An update from Kohima Police informed that the stretch from TCP Gate to Razhu point via old NST, Razhu point to TCP Gate via D-Block and Phoolbari Y Junction to DC office and 1st AR Junction would be declared ‘no parking zones.’

It stated that all obstructing vehicles would be towed away as per the provisions of Section 201 MV Act, and towing charges would be borne by the vehicle owner.

It informed that all down going vehicles would be diverted from TCP Gate. The down route would be available via Naga Hospital Kohima junction, New Market road, KOHIMAS hospital, Naga Bazaar road, Census point and Teenpati area.

Vehicles going up would be allowed to take the normal route via Razhu point, D-block, Phoolbari, and TCP Gate.
