DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) was held at the DPDB conference hall on September 17, chaired by DC Kohima and vice chairman of DPDB, Kumar Ramnikant.
The meeting was also attended by DPDB chairman and MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, as well as MLA Kevipodi Sophie, according to an update.
During the session, the DC reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting, informing that all follow-up actions on the discussed agendas had been completed. An update also mentioned the withdrawal of the society registration proposal for the Sericulture Board, Nagaland.
Two proposals, Heartshome Pre-school (New Police Reserve, Phesama) and Wonderbeats Pre-school (Upper PWD Colony, Kohima), were recommended for upgrade to the primary level. Both proposals, submitted by the senior sub-divisional education officer Kohima, were accompanied by the required documentation and verification reports, and the board agreed to forward them to the concerned authorities.

The house approved the constitution of the village adoption committee and LADP verification committee for 2024–25. The core committee for the village adoption committee will be headed by the ADC (HQ) as convenor, with the district planning officer and district public relations officer as members.
The meeting concluded with the Urban Development department and Rural Development department being assigned to present PowerPoint presentations during the next DPDB session.
