Kohima College wins ‘Women collegepreneur programme’

DIMAPUR — In a groundbreaking initiative to empower young women in entrepreneurship, EduCentre School of Business (ESB) concluded its ‘Women collegepreneur programme 2023.’

The programme, which provided visionary seed money of INR 10,000 to female students, encouraged them to ideate and execute innovative business ventures.

P Tokugha Achumi, additional director of Industries and Commerce, commended the students for embracing entrepreneurship and also highlighted the government’s commitment to allocate 25% of funds exclusively for women.

An update from ESB stated that the event showcased outstanding talent with MRKSA Fusion from Kohima College securing the top position, followed by Studio Elysians and Co from St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama, as the runners-up.

MRKSA Fusion from Kohima College and Zenith Enterprise from Unity College were recognised as the most popular team, while Scent Sampler from Tetso College claimed the title of the best team.

Winners received trophies, certificates and cash prizes, marking a significant milestone in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit among women in Nagaland.

EduCentre School of Business, which also serves as an incubator under Startup Nagaland, reiterated commitment to nurturing and supporting the next generation of women entrepreneurs.
