Kohima Chakhesang churches to hold combined Christmas celebration

DIMAPUR — The Chakhesang churches in Kohima are all set to observe a combined Christmas celebration at Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Convention Centre on the theme ‘The word becomes flesh (John 1: 14)’ with general secretary of NBCC Rev. Dr. Zelhuo Keyho as the theme speaker.

According to a press release issued by Kuzhovesa Soho, convenor of the celebration publicity committee, there will be a worship service at 10 am in which all nine churches, regardless of denomination, will participate with their own special praise presentations.

Several committees have been constituted and assigned respective tasks for the celebration, it mentioned, adding further that a combined Christmas mass feast will be held at Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) Solidarity Park.

Approximately 12 thousand members are expected to be part of the celebration.

Meanwhile, the respective churches’ men departments and stewards committees will hold a combined social work at the venue on December 22 from 9 am onwards. All concerned parties have been asked to participate with the necessary equipment.

The central committee has urged all members to participate in the programme and to pray for the programme’s success.
