While Social Security & Welfare Minister Kiyanilie Peseyie called on Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi at her office in Shastri Bhawan, Industries and Commerce Minister G Kaito Aye met Union Minister of State (I/C) for Textile Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Udyog Bhawan New Delhi today.During his meeting with Maneka Gandhi, Kiyanilie apprised her about the activities of State Social Security & Welfare department.
Chairman of National Commission for Women (NCW) Mamta Sharma was also present at the meeting.
Later in the afternoon, Kiyanilie called on the Secretary of Rural Development at Krishi Bhawan New Delhi and submitted a data of the State’s requirements for old age pension, widows and disable persons and sought more funds for them.
The Secretary and Joint Secretary of the department assured the minister of full support to the requests made by him.
During his meeting with Gangwar, Kaito was assured of full support to the State government’s programmes by the Centre. Kaito congratulated the Union Minister and apprised him on the ongoing programmes in the State.
Kiyanilie and Kaito were accompanied by Additional Director Merang Aier and PRO Nagaland House, New Delhi, Kuolie Mere.
