DIMAPUR: Team Kingsmen from Shillong emerged as winner of the second edition of 3×3 open basketball tournament organised by Project Zero, in partnership with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), held at Model Higher Secondary School, AG Colony in Kohima, on June 24.
An update from the organisers informed that ORCA-B won the second position, while the most valuable player (MVP) title was conferred to Keneilezo James from ORCA-B. It stated that team Kingsmen won a cash award of INR 25,000, while ORCA-B won INR 15,000.
The programme was attended by Khriesamhalie David Mere, president of Angami Students’ Union (ASU) as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Mere encouraged the players to play the game they love with discipline and consistency by imbibing the spirit of sportsmanship.
Mhasizokho Keretsü, pastor, said the invocation prayer and the programme was chaired by Keyongosa Yore.
It stated that a total of 13 teams including two teams from Shillong participated in the tournament.
