Kerala-based football club signs MoU with Dimapur Sporting Club

DIMAPUR — Kerala-based residential football academy Sportto Soccer Club has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dimapur Sporting Club with an aim to develop football in Nagaland by providing a platform to aspiring players to showcase their skills.

In line with this objective, the Sportto Soccer Club is organising football trials at the 1st NAP Battalion Ground, Police Complex in Chumoukedima, at 9 am on July 7, in collaboration with Dimapur Sporting Club, informed an update received here on Friday.

Aspirants should be born between 2004 and 2016, and produce a copy of Aadhaar card for participation in the trials, which is to find football talents in Nagaland. It will provide talented persons the opportunity to join the Sportto Soccer Club family as well as open new doors to progress to prestigious leagues such as the I-League and Indian Super League (ISL) based on their performance and development.

The Sportto Soccer Club, which was founded in 2021, is said to have “evolved into a renowned football academy, representing Wayanad and fostering a vibrant football culture in the region”.

It “offers a comprehensive development programme that includes state-of-the-art facilities such as comfortable accommodation, nutritious meals, a well-equipped gym, pool sessions, daily training sessions, and theoretical classes. The academy not only focuses on football excellence but also places a strong emphasis on the education and holistic development of its student-athletes”.

“Our academy integrates schooling through partnerships with esteemed institutions like Amrita Vidyalayam, managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, under the guidance of Amma, providing our players with a value-based education that nurtures creativity, intelligence, and character development,” it added.
