Kohima, Nov. 16 (EMN): Barak FC (Peren), Head Hunters FC (164 Territorial Army) and Naga United FC (Chumoukedima) won their respective matches at the ongoing 6th Capt. Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament on Wednesday at IG Stadium in Kohima.

Playing the first match, Barak drubbed Phiro FC (Wokha) by a margin of 7-1 while Head Hunters won the second match over Medziphema FC (Chumoukedima) 5-4 in the penalty shootout after both teams ended in a 3-3 draw during the regulated time.

Naga United blanked Lengreng FC (Peren) 3-0 in the third match to move to the next round.

Athana Newmai from Barak FC is currently leading with three goals for the golden boot race after scoring the first hat-trick of the tournament against Phiro FC on Wednesday.
