Kelülü Dawhuo crowned Miss Kohima 2024

KOHIMA — Eighteen- year-old, Kelülü Dawhuo, was crowned Miss Kohima 2024 during the grand finale packed with student audience at Kohima College on Monday.

Hailing from Thenyizu village in Phek district, Dawhuo is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts (first year) in English honours at St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) Jakhama.

She was crowned by Keziah Mero, Miss Kohima 2023 and walked home with a cash prize of INR 20,000 and gift hampers worth INR 30,000.

Dawhuo also bagged ‘Miss Perfect 10’ subtitle.

Eighteen-year-old Anon Konyak and twenty-year-old Merilo M Kikon won the first and second runner-up titles.

Konyak was awarded INR 15,000 and gift hampers worth INR 30,000. The ‘Best evening gown’ was awarded to Anon Konyak.

Merilo M Kikon won a cash prize of INR 10,000 and gift hampers worth INR 30,000. She also won ‘Miss Talent’ subtitle.

Other subtitle winners include: ‘Miss Multimedia’ and ‘Miss Beautiful Smile’, both of which was bagged by Sharon Konyak while ‘Miss congeniality’ went to Seyievinuo Rupreo.

The event is organised by 4Front Event Managements with Kohima College, Kohima as the venue partner.

Make-up artiste for the event was Johnny D`Ascolli, while the choreographer was Pewe Tunyi Khamo.

Show director was Theja Sekhose while designers were Kezhaselie Seyie, Kevisedenuo Khezhie, and Adaphro Seshuna.

Judges were Mele Pucho,  Ruopfuzhano Whiso, Abienuo Jasmine Ashao, and Dr Theyiesinuo Keditsu.

Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly & Chairman of District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) and  Kumar Ramnikant, Deputy Commissioner of Kohima were special guests for the event. Moasunep K Jingru, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Kohima district administration highlighted on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ programme while Principal of Kohima College Kohima, Dr Vitsosie Vupru pronounced also addressed the gathering.
