KDCA Silver Jubilee Tournament: SNC and KKR to battle for glory
KIPHIRE — Two more matches were played on Friday as the ongoing Kiphire District Cricket Association (KDCA) Silver Jubilee Tournament entered its fourth day.
In the first match, DC XI faced off with Kiphire Knight Riders (KKR). KKR dominated the game, clinching victory by 9 wickets, showcasing their strong bowling and batting performances.
The second match saw a thrilling contest between Abide and Saramati Nexus Club. Abide secured a hard-fought win, beating Saramati Nexus Club by 17 runs. Both teams put on a display of talent, keeping the crowd on their toes throughout the game.
The highly anticipated final will take place tomorrow between Saramati Nexus Club and Kiphire Knight Riders, promising an exciting match as both teams vie for the championship title.

Tsapicho Sangtam, the executive convenor of Kiphire District Football Association, expressed gratitude to the KDCA and the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) for bringing the sport to the forefront in Kiphire. He highlighted the positive impact of cricket on the district’s youth, noting that their improvement in the sport is a testament to KDCA’s dedication.
Sangtam urged KDCA to continue fostering the spirit of growth and encouraged the public to come out in larger numbers to support and inspire the players.
T Atsaba Sangtam, the executive convenor of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kiphire, shared his excitement after witnessing the day’s matches. He pointed out that despite infrastructural challenges, the improvement in the quality of play was significant.
He also emphasised that the tournaments have provided a valuable platform for the district’s youth to showcase their talents, ensuring no one is left behind.
