DIMAPUR— Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Tseminyu unit of the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) have condemned the recent act of vandalism at the ANTA office in Kohima and also inflicting trauma and threat upon the life of its general secretary at gunpoint on June 17.
An update from KCCI stated that such type of crime should be thoroughly investigated and award befitting punishment to the perpetrators. Stating that it has received complaints on the rise of physical abuse and harassment meted to the trading community, KCCI warned that actions deemed fit would be taken against any miscreants.
KCCI further appealed to every right-thinking citizen to condemn such abhorring crime and also urged the concerned authority to book the culprits at the earliest.
In another statement, ANTA Tseminyu, while condemning the incident, appealed to the law enforcing agencies to initiate strong action against the culprits.
The unit has also affirmed support to the resolution of ANTA headquarters on ‘One tax one government.’
