KBC golden jubilee begins with a call to testify Jesus
KOHIMA — The golden jubilee celebration of Kohima Bible College (KBC) got underway at Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School (RGHSS) ground in Kohima on Tuesday with a call to testify Jesus Christ in one’s life.
Speaking at the first service of the week-long celebration, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, founder and senior pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church and principal of Kohima Bible College, called upon the congregation to present themselves as “vessels of gold that give themselves to turn finer amidst all trials, to grow in faith, and to look into Jesus and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.”
He challenged the believers to be rooted in Christ, receive the Holy Spirit, and further spread the gospel of Christ. He stated that KBC has always been rooted in prayer and fasting and has thrived throughout the years.
Stressing the need to change oneself first, he has cited the life of Paul from the Bible by urging the believers to testify through their lives and actions. He pointed out that to receive blessings and the Holy Spirit, one needs to prepare first to receive, irrespective of the circumstances, which requires discipline and sacrifice.
Rev. Kiewhuo told the congregation to refine their lives as heirs of Jesus Christ and be guided by the Holy Spirit, which needs the commitment of each individual to live a life of faith, irrespective of profession.
Jubilee greetings were delivered by Toshi Imchen, pastor of Ao NCRC and former faculty of KBC, while the KBC souvenir magazine was released by Rev. Keiwhuo, principal of KBC.
On the occasion, the golden jubilee monolith was dedicated by Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, while Abei-ü Neihulie, president of Kohima Bible College (KBC), dedicated the newly constructed Rev. David Oliver Nunn Memorial Boys Hostel at the KBC Campus, and the Jubilee Tabernacle was dedicated by Atouzo Neihulie, son of Late Rev. Neihulie.
The programme was led by Dr. Keneipfenuo Rüpreo, assistant professor at KBC, and songs were presented by Vengo-ü Koza and Kohima Bible College golden jubilee choir. R Bendang Kichu, academic dean of Kohima Bible College, led the congregation in offering.
The golden jubilee celebration would continue until November 26.
On Wednesday, the service will be held from 4 pm, wherein Rev. Dr. Vevozo Khamo, vice president of Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC), will be the speaker and Surjay B Saptoka, a former graduate, will lead the service.
